Private Art Lessons

Do you or your young artist want to take your art to the next level?

As a professional artist and a licensed, certified visual art instructor, I'm ready to help any artist achieve their goals.

With a focus on drawing, watercolor painting, or both, we will dive into techniques as I guide you through projects we chose based on your own interests.

The subjects we'll cover are personalized based on what you want to learn. Would you like to improve your ability to draw animals? We'll tackle shading, texture, proportion and more. Would you like to be able to paint calming landscapes? We'll cover watercolor techniques that help us create background, middle ground, and foreground.

Would you or your young artist prefer to learn in a group? Reach out for discounted rates on small groups or single private events.

The Nitty Gritty

Price:

Purchase and schedule four lessons at a time for $250. Lessons can be scheduled Monday-Friday between 8am and 5pm. 

Scheduling:

Private lessons are 1 hour in length and can be scheduled weekly or every other week. 

Please notify me when you need to cancel or reschedule at least one week in advance.

Location:

Lessons will take place in the home studio of Alyssa Whetstone, located in a neighborhood in Farmington, Minnesota. Address will be provided in direct communication and is not to be shared publicly. 

Supplies:

Students will purchase their own art supplies and bring their supplies to each lesson, as well as use it to practice at home.

Supplies needed are minimal and a list will be provided once the medium of the lessons is decided.
